Conditions of use, characteristics and maintenance of the products
Our products are made of iron FE360 with specific treatment for the outdoor use.
To keep products in good condition for a long time, we recommend storing them indoors and in a dry place during the winter, in order to avoid condensation.
Before the winter season and on a quarterly basis, if the products are kept near the sea, it is recommended to clean the metal surfaces with a soft cloth using water or detergents and protect them with Vaseline oil or car wax.
Periodically clean the surface with a sponge or a soft bristle brush , using a detergent solution with biodegradable neutral liquid soap (20 mi) in a liter of water (38° C). Rinse thoroughly. Do not use detergents and abrasive brushes.
For painted finishing, we recommend periodic waxing of the frame with liquid wax for cars or a proactive agent available for sale, to help maintain and/or restore the shine of the finish.
Protective agents can be purchased from hardware stores or similar.
Use at sea: during use at sea, salt may accumulate in the ‘fissures’ of the product, leading to the rapid deterioration of the paint.
In areas with swimming pools, chlorine may accumulate on the finish, causing it to deteriorate rapidly.
In both environments, repeated condensation’s cycles followed by evaporation can cause the accumulation of these corrosive and aggressive materials, especially in the ‘fissures’ of the product. Regular cleaning with delicate biodegradable liquid soap and water can help to remove concentrated deposits and to protect the finishing of the furniture according to the instructions above.
Intervals of maintenance:
– “aggressive environments” (sea areas, industrial areas, swimming pools): every 3 months
– “medium aggressive environments” (urban areas): every 6 months
– “low aggressive environments” (natural areas): every 12 months
In case of tables, we recommend not to put them away with their tops in direct contact with another and to store the products in dry and aerated places to prevent condensation from forming.
